Stairway to Paradise
After growing up in Florida, Sharee Solow came to Philadelphia by way of Manhattan and now uses her degrees in theater, marketing, landscape architecture, and horticulture to create diverse digital commercial, institutional and residential landscape designs. Sharee’s broad background coupled with extensive international travel experiences, form the aesthetic palate needed to handle the diverse creative demands found in clients’ outdoor spaces. This skill and vision is also demonstrated in the ongoing transformation of her own small yard where a rock garden, Japanese garden and cottage border coexist thanks to paths instead of lawn. In February 2012, Sharee completed an intensive seminar in Japan where she earned certificates in garden design history, construction, and maintenance. She is a past board member of Temple University Ambler Arboretum, The Hardy Plant Society, PA/DE ASLA and Penn State Extension. Also, she has been a guest judge for the PLNA: ALE Awards, PA Garden Expo and juried for Temple and Philadelphia University. Professional groups she is active with are PPA, GWA, ASLA, APLD, NAJGA and is Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist #824. www.SolowHorticulturalDesigns.
